TGIF in Liverpool One (UK) has been open since July 2014 and includes many of my New York images as part of the interior design. The photographs are within the decor of the booths, framed on the history wall, blown up on the over-sized window wall and even as tiles the bathrooms.

I was thrilled to discover that The Print Swap chose my “Turn to Clear Vision” image to be included in their recent Foley Gallery Exhibition on Orchard St on The Lower East Side, NYC.

I love Sunflowers, they are my favourite flower and make me very happy. This collection of images were captured during lockdown September 2020 just as businesses were very slowly starting to reopen & social distance was still in full force, it was an opportunity for me to meet up with a good friend outdoors and brought me a lot of joy during a very uncertain time.

The iconic TWA Flight Centre & Hotel are located at Terminal 5 JFK and are not to be missed if you are ever passing through. I had gazed admirably at the abandoned terminal every time I flew Jet Blue and was fascinated by the shape, style and history of the terminal. When I heard it was to be reconstructed I knew it would be something special and followed the 3 year progress eagerly as did designers, architects, aviation enthusiasts and New Yorkers alike.

7am Ferry to The Rockaways. Empty NYC Streets are rare sight and empty NYC waters are even more rare! I woke up early one Sunday morning with an overwhelming desire to take the ferry to The Rockaways to watch the city wake up from the New York Bay and blow off the cobwebs of NYC.

Sunrise in NYC is always beautiful: the quiet streets, the empty calmness, the start of a new day of opportunity. It is my favourite time of day, when I am photographing it, not so much when I wake up!

Sunrise over The East Side is a beautiful sight and has to be seen to be believed. The sun rises behind The 59th Street Bridge illuminating the East River as New York City awakes.
