If you have your Picture This Photography Calendar this is your August 2023 image ”Embarking on an adventure at Ellis Island.”
Ellis Island housed the immigration & processing station from 1892 to 1954 & is positioned next to Liberty Island where both are part of the State of Liberty National Monument
I previously took the first Statue City Cruise from Battery Park on 4th July which headed to The Statue of Liberty then Ellis Island full of tourists! Everyone jumped off at Liberty Island and I stayed on to arrive firstly at Ellis Island where I was the only person on there!
The views were spectacular, the weather was beautiful, the skies were clear and Ellis Island was empty. I took so many photographs & watered around on my own private island until the next tourist ferry arrived, it was an amazing experience.
These 4 images were four of my many favourites captured so when I was deciding which to use I could not choose so included all 4!
📷 These image were captured with a 16-50mm zoom lens at approx 16-20mm
Location-Ellis Island
