Turn to Clear Vision at The Foley Gallery, LES
I was thrilled to discover that The Print Swap chose my “Turn to Clear Vision” image to be included in their recent Foley Gallery Exhibition on Orchard St on The Lower East Side, NYC.
I submitted this to an open call category as I liked how it represented the different perspective of The Statue of Liberty and how the message on the viewfinder represented the factual feeling of the image captured.
The chosen photograph was taken on the 4th July 2021 with my Sony A6000 Camera using a 55-210mm lens at 85m focal length, f/8, 1/400, ISO 200 to create maximum background blur.
It was shot from Ellis Island and shows a Viewfinder in focus with the text "Turn to Clear Vision" while showing The Statue of Liberty in the background deliberately out of focus.
I clearly am drawn to including the viewfinders in my photographs (hello brand image) and try to capture them, where possible, with a twist.
I was very happy to be able to attend to view all of the exhibited photographs at the opening reception and meet some other photographers who had travelled far & wide to attend the event.
I look forward to submitting my images to future Print Swap events for consideration, it was an amazing exhibition to participate in!
